thanks for your patience!
the little weeb at mcdonalds playland. both kids love it and why not. for me it’s a nightmare. besides being mcdonalds, it’s full of kid germs AND barenaked feet! ew ew ew.
in high school some cheerleaders got foot fungi from the floor in the gym. since then i am very super plus terrified of public places with naked feet. every time i go through security at the airport i consider a full body search instead of taking my shoes off. ew. billions of naked feet goop all over my feet.
puke.
i was playing with the camera and accidentally got this perfect shot of the little guys signature tantrum face. complete with wringing hands. with horrible exposure.

soooo since i have so enjoyed my friend alison’s daily photo on her blog i’ve decided to copy her. why come up with a good idea when you can just copy your creative friend!
today. cade asleep in his car seat in the house. why is this such a great photo? i don’t think cade has ever fallen asleep anywhere but his own bed or the car set while driving in the car. it was such a peaceful 15 minutes!
a few facts:
- i am not a republican
- i am probably a democrat
- i am a mormon
- i am not going to hell
just in case you didn’t understand, ALL those facts, are in fact, facts.
sunshine
i love you
i love you more than my most melancholy song, more than the hum of my little heater, more than the crack of paper-thin ice
i love you more than the smell of expensive paper, my babies head, and the crisp smell of hotel air conditioners
i love you more than dr pepper after chocolate, my mother’s cherry pie, more than burnt half exploded popcorn kernels
i love you more than the squeak of ice cold black olives on my teeth, more than the first shot of hot water on a cold day, more than blinking eyelashes on my cheek
sunshine
i love you
welcome home
Habitation
Marriage is not
a house or even a tent
it is before that, and colder:
The edge of the forest, the edge
of the desert
the unpainted stars
at the back where we squat
outside, eating popcorn
where painfully and with wonder
at having survived even
this far
we are learning to make fire.

i met ethan today. i can just say ethan- no need to mention his last name- one, because i cannot remember it (which is odd because i was rehearsing introducing myself earlier today) and two, because he is most likely the last ethan i will meet that merits any notes in this book. i am mentioning him now because i immediately like him. he had perfect hair color, brown with bits of red…

i am 100% completely utterly and overwhelmingly in love with ethan.

— Oscar Wilde (An Ideal Husband)
